Paddle For Life Vancouver USA 2021 Event

Dear Dragon Boat Community,

Since we in Washington have moved into Phase 3, we can now have up to ten people eating at an outdoor table together—so we at Paddle for Life say, we can have ten people in an outdoor boat together! And that’s exactly what we plan to do at this year’s Paddle for Life races to take place in Ridgefield, WA on Saturday, August 7.

The beneficiary of this year’s Paddle for Life event is the HOPE 311 Foundation. The mission of HOPE 311 is to teach friends and family how to intervene when a young person is experiencing suicidal ideation. We at Paddle for Life want to support their efforts during this difficult time in our county when suicide rates have increased.

Our cause is a serious one, but our event will be fun, fun, fun! Ten-person boats; 250-meter sprints! You can register your whole club or put together a team of ten people who want some friendly competition. Your teammates who do not feel comfortable racing can cheer you on from the shore. Outdoor events are currently able to include up to 50 people—and that number could increase by August 7. In addition to our drawing and vendors, August 7 is also one of the City of Ridgefield First Saturday events, so there will be lots for folks to take in.

Please go to Register to get signed up; and please reach out if you have any questions.

See you on the water!
