About Paddle for Life
We foster amateur dragon boating competition to support the work of local charities who support our homeless, military veterans, and others in our community who are in need.
It is also our goal to introduce and educate the public about dragon boating as a way to promote cultural awareness, enhance diversity, and serve our community. You can be a part of the event by signing up a community team or club team. You can also volunteer at the event, be a vendor, or even become a sponsor where your funds will provide much needed assistance to those in our community who need it the most.
Paddle for Life, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2009 by paddlers in WA and CA, has raised and donated tens of thousands of dollars to local charities. In the past, we have supported the Pink Lemonade Project for breast cancer survivors, the Clark County Veterans Assistance Center, FISH of Vancouver, and Food with Friends.
Competitive teams from as far away as Long Beach, California as well as teams throughout Oregon and Washington have participated in our Clark County event. Local businesses such as HOPE 311, Frito Lay, Waste Connections, Tidewater Transportation and other organizations of all sizes have also competed in our fun community races.
Be a part of the sport by signing up a community team or club team. You can also volunteer at the event, be a vendor, or even become a sponsor where your funds will go to a wonderful community charity providing much needed assistance to those in our community who need it the most.
One of our main priorities is to help local nonprofits achieve their goals in serving our community. Some of our past beneficiaries include Hope 311 Foundation, Pink Lemonade Project, FISH of Vancouver, the Clark County Veterans Assistance Center, and Food with Friends.

We are always looking for individuals who love to volunteer. Hosting a dragon boat race is hard work and takes many volunteers. The only experience you need is an open mind, a servant’s heart, and the willingness to work hard for a great cause.
