About Paddle for Life
We foster amateur dragon boating competition to support women in Clark County who have experienced breast cancer.
It is also our goal to introduce and educate the public about dragon boating as a way to promote cultural awareness, enhance diversity, and serve our community. You can be a part of the event by registering a club team. You can also volunteer at the event, be a vendor, or even become a sponsor.
History
Paddle for Life, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2009 by paddlers in WA and CA, has raised and donated tens of thousands of dollars to local charities. In the past, we have supported the Pink Lemonade Project for breast cancer survivors, the Clark County Veterans Assistance Center, FISH of Vancouver, and Food with Friends, HOPE 311, and Camp Mariposa.
Competitive teams from as far away as Long Beach, California as well as teams throughout Oregon and Washington have participated in our Clark County event.
Races
Be a part of the race by signing up a club team. You can also volunteer at the event, be a vendor, or even become a sponsor.
Join Our Team
We are always looking for individuals who love to volunteer. Hosting a dragon boat race is hard work and takes many volunteers. The only experience you need is an open mind, a servant’s heart, and the willingness to work hard for a great cause.
